Description
This PWM controller is used to generate standby voltages in modern laptops manufactured after 2022. Its failure can damage the EC controller or the hub integrated into the processor. Before replacing it, verify the integrity of the aforementioned circuits and inspect the board using a thermal imager.
The RT6338BG controller requires soldering using bottom heating and lead-based solder; it is quite sensitive to overheating and should not be overheated or mounted using lead-free solder.
